In 2001 the project of the almanac – guide became the winner of Republican creative competition of
journalists "The Silver feather". Rewarding of creative collective by
the diploma of II degree
in a nomination "The Journalistic action of the year" for wide propagation of
Crimea and Crimean people is the proof of importance and necessarity of the
project.

The Coordination bureau of the Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine of the National
academy of sciences of Ukraine (EMU) supports the idea of creation and the
edition of biographic directories of the series "Who is who" as they are a
good source of modern political, scientific, cultural, art, sports elite of
this or that region or as a whole of all Ukraine. Acquaintance to the directory
"Who is who in Crimea" shows, that the group of authors has made significant
work of gathering and processing of materials about oustanding persons of
Crimea. Such directory is the good guidebook for composers of Encyclopedias,
and EMU in particular. It will take a worthy place among editions of similar
type. Comparing it with directories "Who is who in Gjitomir", "Who is who in
Ivano-Frankovsk" etc., we mark, that it is more informative, contains
considerably a lot of information about contemporaries.
